Fundraising for PD research can be fun. This episode is a recap of the 3rd annual Box4Bucks fundraiser for MJFF. It includes interviews from the many stakeholders in the event. Listen as representatives from MJFF, sponsors and participants describe what this year’s pivot to virtual meant to them and how much fun it can be to do good.
The fundraiser “Box 4 Bucks” was a great
fundraiser event. The participants, including myself, really got involved and had fun.
l am looking forward to next year with our “Box4 Bucks” if we haven’t found a cure!

This should be a real boost to Box4Bucks. Everyone who spoke was very positive and upbeat and truly radiated the fun that was had. As someone who participated in 2019 and 2020, I can address the difference in the two events. Obviously the “in person” is a lot more fun because you actually have people cheering you on.. That alone spurs you on! My friends who watched this year told me how much they enjoyed it.
Of course, the purpose is to have a good time AND to raise money. I was thrilled with the amount that was raised . As much as I love the event, I would be ecstatic not to do it next year because a cure has been found.
