Because only together we can
Beat Parkinson's Disease
Join us and help fundraise for a cure
WHO WE ARE
We are a fundraising organization whose mission is to KNOCK OUT Parkinson’s disease
17 Branches is an Arizona 501(c)3 organization founded to raise money for Parkinson’s research and community outreach for Parkinson’s patients. Every year, we organize exciting fundraising events where the Parkinson’s community along with family and friends of all ages and skills can come together and support each other while raising money for a good cause.
Please join us in the fight for a cure for this progressive neurological disease. Each dollar donated brings us closer to delaying the progression of symptoms, finding a cure and providing comfort and support to those in need.
WHAT WE DO
— We Fundraise
We organize fun events to raise money for Parkinson’s research, with the goal of finding a cure for the disease. The money goes to the Michael J Fox Foundation where 100% of the money goes directly to research. See our event page for more information.
— We Support
We lead a Parkinson’s disease support group for women patients only. Women experience the disease differently. This provides a safe, friendly, supportive environment to share and care for each other. Watch a meeting with a speech therapist as our speaker. Click here.
— We Partner
We partner with the Baehr Challenge to bring the power of both organizations to fundraising for Parkinson’s research. We also partner with All About Parkinson’s to provided needed and easy to understand information to our care partners – the people taking care of our loved ones living with PD.
— We Educate
We provide opportunities for education through expert speakers on appropriate topics. We also assist PWP and their care partners with using technology to better their outcomes.
— We Communicate
Our founder blogs about her journey of living with Parkinson’s disease with the goal of helping others improve their quality of life. Additionally, we are working on developing a podcast.
— We Box and Exercise
We offer intermediate and beginning boxing classes for People with Parkinson’s at the Pound Gym in Scottsdale, AZ. Boxing is a great way to improve your strength, balance and flexibility. It is a great intense workout and fun class activity.
